During nursing school I had a vision of becoming a Badass Emergency Nurse and later transitioning into an Educator. I focused my efforts on advancing my career in the hospital setting. I had difficulty climbing the corporate ladder because I was told I am“ too direct”, “didn’t have enough soft skills” , and even told that I was “abrasive” in one of my performance evaluations for being a strong and passionate advocate in the Emergency Department.

No one could hold me down, or shut me up because I was born to SPEAK UP!

During my career, I naturally fell into the mentor, educator and coach role. I would always find myself offering career guidance, career strategies for success, giving resume and interview tips! I thought about opening my own nurse career coaching business for about a year or so. I thought to myself, well, I am a mom of a toddler and a 5 year old, in school for a doctoral program, working a full time job, can I really add a business owner to my plate?

Once I got over my own self limiting belief, I thought:
